The Logan County Education Foundation supports education in the public schools of Logan County by providing teacher grants and student scholarships.
SCHOLARSHIPSThe Foundation manages over 30 scholarship funds including endowed funded scholarships and annual scholarships. The investment is managed locally by two broker firms according to the investment strategy developed by the Foundation's Finance Committee. The management allows for scholarships to be given in perpetuity due the diligent management of Foundation funds. Scholarships are applied for each Spring by graduating seniors and awarded by review of the applications by the Trustees. Scholarship monies are released on or around August 1 of each year.
TEACHER GRANTSThese grants are funded by donations from the public during our Annual Earning for Learning Campaign each Spring, a donation from the Honda Foundation as well as "named grants" that honor various community members and organizations. The grants are awarded each fall to support innovative and creative programs in classrooms K-12. Winning grants are chosen by the Trustees and the funds are managed by their local district.
