THANK YOU NOTE TIPS
Writing your best thank you note....
1. Be prompt. Your note should arrive to the donor no more than two weeks from the time you are presented your scholarship.
2. Be correct. Make sure to address the thank you to the proper person. You will receive the name and address if your scholarship packet.
3. Be specific. Mention the scholarship by name as you specifically thank the donor.
4. Be personal. Share your college and career plans with the donor. Tell them what receiving the scholarship means to you.
5. Be sincere. Thank the donor more than once in the note.
6. Be creative. Don't just sign the note "sincerely" find a more unique closing for your note.
7. Be legible. Make sure your note and in particular your signature are easily read. This is not the time for lime green or pink ink!!
